Day Five
Jelly Bean in ice. Previously when I have attempted to freeze jelly beans, the colour has run and the results have been less than desirable. This time however I had the idea of painting the jelly beans with clear nail polish with much better results.
Edit: Ok. So you can't really see the see the jelly bean so here's another picture taken when the ice cube had melted a bit.

I have to be honest, I can't REALLY see the jelly bean, but I do like the blue anyway.
No I don't suppose you can!! I've added an extra picture now.
Way cool! Looks just like a real mini-iceberg. They're blue inside, you know. :)
So creative!
Great idea and very clever to paint it with nail polish first.
I think if you put some salt in the water first it may freeze clearer but I like the iceburg look anyway
Very interesting idea. I would have never thought to freeze a jelly bean. I really like the way it turned out. I like the first photo better, gotta make you guess what is inside.
Thank goodness it wasn't multiple jelly beans if you had to coat polish around each one!
(Next up could be a shot of your hand sporting jelly bean fingernails - blue-tacked in place?!)
Neat idea and lovely image!
Wow - that looks so other-worldly, especially the second one. Makes me wonder what you're going to do next to those blue beans :D
I'm completely interested in what other ways you come up with for these beans. It's a neat idea and fun to watch!
Good idea...the painting of the jelly bean :-).
I really like the half melted one the best. It sort of glows!
I thought at first the jelly bean was behind the ice cube. Nicely done! I don't know where you get your ideas but I sure want to see what you'll come up with next :)
