What better way to finish than a photo of what this has been all about. I've finally run out of photos so this is it! .... for now at least :-)

I used this picture in the final contest and got a few comments about how people liked it. OK for a photo perhaps, but difinitely not ok for reality!

I especially like the combination of colours in this picture.

When I look at this picture it always makes me smile. The flower is actually a sticker and I have one on each of my filing cabinet drawers. Everytime I see them it reminds me that there's always something to be greatful for.

The toy library was a great source for my jelly bean pictures. I ended up coming home with all sorts of stuff. The teddies pictures above are just one example. I really like this one - the colours are really bright and cheerful.

Surprise!

Another image that came close to being included in my contest entry. Not sure how I would feel if I opened up my egg and found jelly beans inside.

I used this vase on more than one occassion. It's quite versatile. And of course, the orange background - that colour just goes so well with the blue.

Macro

In case you are wondering, those little balls on the jelly bean are actually sprinkles (100s & 1000s). It's amazing what details get picked up when you shoot macro - details never noticed before.

Another pose I never ended up using. I don't usually, but this time I used by very basic Photoshop skills to change the background.

Almost....but not quite

This photo very nearly got included in my contest entry - I was very tempted but in the end decided it wasn't colourful enough.

It seems a shame to waste them

You might wonder why on earth I continue to take photos of blue jelly beans. The truth is, I'm not. Not anymore. It's just that I have some left over - ones I didn't use and it seems a shame to waste them so I've decided to put them on my blog.

I'm not sure who will see the photos. The 30 day challenge has finished so I don't expect any visitors but you never know, someone might pop by :-)

Today's photo is what I would call a jelly bean abstract. The jelly bean is sitting on a piece of glass which is about 2cm above a mirror. Hence the effect of the bottom bean being lighter than the top.

Day Thirty One

What better way to round off my challenge with a shot of the Jelly Bean Family at the playground.

Day Thirty

I would have liked to have taken a photo of the full teddy covered in beans but I just didn't have enough good looking beans anymore. A lot of them have either been chopped in half, drawn on, burnt, munted, frozen, microwaved or something just as weird. Teddy looks a bit overwhelmed and who wouldn't be! if they were covered with jelly beans.

And so I got to the end. Who thought there would have been so many ways to photograph blue jelly beans!!! It is my intention to post a bonus tomorrow just to round off the month.

Not much to say about this one except that I collect egg cups so I used some of them.

This was much harder than expected. The camera didn't seem to want to focus on the jelly beans in the magnifying glass. This is the best of the bunch.

Today's picture was again an idea of my daughters. The trophy is a softball trophy my son won when he was younger.

Today's bonus is for kimbomac. She wanted to see the jelly beans all lined up like an army. Below we have the guards outside the jelly bean castle. Yesterday's and today's props kindly provided by the toy library I work for!

Day Twenty Five

This picture is really a sequel to Day Two and in answer to dollyllama's comment for that day, yes, I did try picking the jelly beans up with chop sticks - while taking the photo too!

Kim, I now have enough ideas to see me into August so I can afford to be generous :-)

Today's bonus is for Master Gnu who wanted to see a blue jelly bean love-scene with lit candles and a really cozy atmosphere. I didn't quite manage that but I did get a peek inside the jelly bean house this morning while they were having breakfast.

Day Twenty Four

Blue Jelly Bean Salad. Can't decide what I think about today's photo. My daughter thinks the lettuce and tomato look plastic but I can assure you they are real. Thank you BerlinBear for your suggestion - I hope you're not too disappointed with the outcome.

Today's bonus is dedicated to YMS who on day five suggested I try blue jelly bean finger nails. Unfortunately this didn't work too well. Whole jelly beans looked out of place and when I tried to slice them in half they went all squishy and the outer layer started to crack - so here's an alternative - just for you.

Day Twenty Three

I have 441 blue jelly beans and 82 orange M&Ms. And yes, some of them are beginning to look a bit worn!! No I am not even tempted to eat any of them, the places these jelly beans have been makes them unfit for human consumption! I'm not even tempted to eat the other coloured jelly beans I still have. In fact, I don't think I will ever eat a jelly bean again!!

Today's idea is thanks to my daughter. I didn't think I was going to have enough jelly beans to pull this one off but with some blue cloth filling the bottom of the water feature it just worked. Below is a picture of the complete water feature.

Jelly Beans and M&Ms in a vase. I don't tend to alter my photos in Photoshop too much simply because I don't really know what I'm doing! but I tried out the burn tool on the black for this one and it seems to have come out pretty good - at least it looks ok on my monitor!!!

Day Thirteen

This one's not for the fainthearted! In case it's not clear, this is a blue jelly bean with ants on it. The background is a mixture of glitter and very finely grated jelly beans.

Thank you to those of you who have made suggestions for coming jelly bean photos - I will consider all ideas and maybe take some on board but for today we have Bob and Muck and yes, I know the grass needs mowing!

Day Ten

Firstly, thank you for all the get well wishes sent my way. I'm on the mend but still feel yukky.

With twenty days still to go, and a very narrow theme, I'm having to get really creative so today we have macro of jelly bean and glitter.

Day Nine

I'm feeling too grotty to do much today but a photo is better than no photo! Today's shot was inspired by all the lemons I squeezed yesterday.

Day Eight

Not feeling 100 percent today so thought I would get this done early and then go back to bed. This shot would have worked well for one of the replacement theory contests. And for those who aren't sure, yes it is a mouse trap.

Today we have jelly bean and reflection. Not much else to say really!

Day Six

Today I bought more supplies. Do you have any idea how long it takes to pick out only blue jelly beans from the pick n mix??

For me today was an example of how perceverance pays off. It wasn't easy to keep the jelly beans in the baskert with the holes being so big and I very nearly settled for second best with a photo of the jelly beans in the trolley wrapped in glad wrap / cling film. I am SO glad I kept trying! The end result is so much better!

Day Five

Jelly Bean in ice. Previously when I have attempted to freeze jelly beans, the colour has run and the results have been less than desirable. This time however I had the idea of painting the jelly beans with clear nail polish with much better results.

Edit: Ok. So you can't really see the see the jelly bean so here's another picture taken when the ice cube had melted a bit.

Seeing as the jelly beans are here to stay I need to get a bit creative. Here's todays. The light is created by a candle in the centre of the bowl. Thanks to my daughter for this idea.
